The Archer fish can catch insects even when they're out of the water. The fish uses its tongue ilke a water pistol and fires a "bullet" from a special tube at any unsuspecting insect sitting on a leaf. The insect then topples from the leaf and into the water where it is eagerly devoured. The archer fish can hit insects at distances of over 3 ft above the surface of the water.
