Ovaltine got its name thanks to a clerical error.  It was launched at Ovomaltine in 1904 (it contains eggs and malt), but when the Wander company applied to register the trade mark  five years later, it was wrongly transcribed by a ministry clerk as "Ovaltine".   The name stuck
