Legendary cricketer W.G.Grace once shocked his team mates by suddenly declaring the innings closed with his own score on 93, just seven short of a century. He later explained that 93 was the only score between 0 and 100 that he had yet to make. On another occasion, he got a bottom edge off his bat and the ball lodged in the top of his pad. Seizing the opportunity to add to his score, he waddled to the boundary with the ball intact and, on crossing the rope, demanded four runs.
