During the Second World War, a German U-boat was sunk by a truck. After attacking a convoy of ships in the Atlantic, the U-boat rose to the surface to see the result of its actions. But the merchant ship it sank had a fleet of trucks on deck, one of which was hurled into the air by the explosion and came crashing down on the surfacing U-boat, breaking the submarine's back.
