Did You Know....? - For Better or Worse

When his fiancee broke off their engagement, Abel Ruiz decided to take his own life. First, he threw himself in front of the Gerona to Madrid express train, but the train passed over him and he was treated at Gerona Hospital for nothing more than minor injuries. Undeterred, he resolved to try again later that day, this time throwing himself in front of a passing lorry. Again he was treated at the hospital for minor bruises. By now, staff there were so concerned about Senor Ruiz's mental state that they called in a priest who made him see the error of his ways. Determined to forget about his broken heart, Ruiz was discharged from the ward to start his new life and was promptly knocked down by a runaway horse. He was readmitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
