The World Black Pudding Knocking Championships take place at the Corner Pin publich house at Ramsbottom, near Manchester. Contestants from as far afield as the US, Australia, Canada and Germany demonstrate their expertise at lobbing Lancashire black puddings on to the roof of the pub in a bid to dislodge the Yorkshire puddings nestling on the ledges. The winner gets his own height in beer.
