Find My Friends Divorce
A New York City man says he’s divorcing his wife after he used the iPhone’s new “Find My Friends” app to catch her cheating.
He told the MacRumors forum that he suspected she was seeing someone
else, so he bought her an iPhone 4S and enabled location sharing. Sure
enough, when she texted to say she was with a friend in the Meatpacking
District, he checked the map and saw she was actually a few miles away
on the east side.
The moral of the story: make sure you know who your phone is sharing
your location with. This is probably not the last time we’ll hear about
someone turning “Find My Friends” into “Stalk My Significant Other.”
