Doctor Who Tardis Console
The TARDIS Console in the latest episode of Doctor Who — the Neil Gaiman-written “The Doctor’s Wife” — was designed by a 12-year-old girl.
Susannah Leah sent her design, which included a keyboard, a jump rope, and a mirror “so the Doctor can look at himself,” to British kids’ show Blue Peter‘s TARDIS console design contest. It was picked from among thousands by a panel of judges including Doctor Who executive producer Stephen Moffat.
Susannah got to visit the set to see her design in real life and meet The Doctor himself, Matt Smith. In a super-cute moment, he told her his favorite part was the keyboard.
Check out the winning drawing.
